Announcement · Our thesis

The Valley built these businesses. Now they need a real exit.

A generation of South Texas owners is ready for its next chapter. Delta Brokers helps them sell well, and helps the right buyers carry their businesses forward.

Drive any road in the Rio Grande Valley and you pass them: the landscaping outfit with twelve trucks, the tire shop on the same corner for thirty years, the family restaurant that fed three generations, the HVAC company everybody's cousin works for. Real businesses with real cash flow, built by owners who never took a day off to plan how they would leave.

That is the problem we are here to solve.

When an owner like that decides it is time, the usual options are thin. Hand the keys to a relative who may not want them. Put a sign in the window and take the first offer. List with a one-person shop that posts to a few websites and waits. Too many good Valley businesses end the same way: sold for less than they were worth, or simply closed, with the jobs and the legacy gone with them.

We think these owners deserve what larger companies get when they sell: a defensible valuation, a deep pool of qualified buyers, real negotiating leverage, and lawyers and accountants who catch problems before a buyer does. They deserve it here, from people who live here, in English or in Spanish.

So we built Delta Brokers.

What Delta is

Delta Brokers is a veteran-owned business brokerage headquartered in McAllen. We represent owners selling their businesses and buyers acquiring them, across the Valley and the rest of Texas. Amy Herrera and I co-founded it. We both served as officers in the U.S. Army, and we run every engagement the way we were trained to run a mission: a clear objective, a real plan, honest reporting, and nobody left behind at the closing table.

The name carries two meanings. In mathematics, delta is the difference between where you are and where you could be. That gap is exactly what a good broker closes for a seller. It is also why our line is simple: we are the difference.

Why it works
01 · Buyers

A bigger buyer pool

Private equity roll-ups, family offices, search funds, SBA-backed operators, strategic acquirers, and families from Monterrey, Reynosa, Matamoros, and Nuevo Laredo investing north of the river.

02 · Underwriting

Valued like a PE deal

Every engagement runs through Underridge, the platform our own engineers built: a cited valuation memo, a model, and the risks a buyer will find before they find them.

03 · One roof

Legal, finance, real estate

A securities attorney with 15+ years inside the SEC, FINRA, and FDIC, a private-equity CFO, and licensed real estate. Nothing gets referred out and lost.

04 · Terms

Paid only at closing

A flat sell-side success fee, no retainer, no monthly work fee. If the deal does not close, the owner owes nothing. See the fees.

The cross-border piece matters more than most people outside the Valley realize. Capital moves across the Rio Grande every day. Business owners and families in Northern Mexico want durable U.S. cash flow, and many of them would rather buy an established Valley company than start one. We market to them in Spanish, through a Spanish-language site and our own network, and we walk them through entity setup, financing, and closing. For a seller, that is a second buyer market most brokers never reach.

My job is to get you the right outcome, not just a closed deal. You’ll never wonder where your deal stands or whether someone’s looking out for you.

Why a separate brand

Greenridge Group is a private equity firm and business brokerage. On the private equity side, we invest as principals. On the brokerage side, we represent clients. Those are different jobs, so we gave the brokerage its own name, its own team, and its own front door.

When Delta represents you, it works for you. That is the whole point of the separation. What Delta does share with the rest of Greenridge is everything that makes the work better: the engineering behind Underridge, our legal and compliance bench, and a group that has actually bought, built, and sold companies.

What comes next

We are already working with owners across the Valley, from home services to signage to restaurants, and we are building buyer relationships across Texas and Northern Mexico. Next week I will be in Houston for M&A Source, adding to our network of lower-middle-market buyers, sponsors, and fellow advisors. If you will be there, I would like to meet you.

The Valley's owners spent decades building something worth keeping. They should not have to give it away at the finish line.

That is the gap we close. We are the difference.

Questions
What is Delta Brokers?

A veteran-owned business brokerage headquartered in McAllen, Texas. It represents owners selling their businesses and buyers acquiring them across the Rio Grande Valley and the rest of Texas. It is a Greenridge Group company, led by co-founders Spencer Gareiss and Amy Herrera, both U.S. Army veterans.

Why did Greenridge Group launch a business brokerage?

A generation of owners who built South Texas businesses is reaching retirement, and many have never sold a company. By our count from Texas Comptroller records, 2,451 Rio Grande Valley businesses have been operating for 25 years or more. Those owners deserve the buyer reach, underwriting, and legal care larger companies get, delivered locally and in English or Spanish.

How is Delta Brokers different from other business brokers?

Every engagement is underwritten on Underridge, our in-house underwriting platform. The team includes a securities attorney with 15+ years inside the SEC, FINRA, and FDIC, a private-equity CFO, and licensed real estate. We market in Spanish to investors in Northern Mexico, and the sell-side fee is paid only at closing, with no retainer or monthly fee.

Why is Delta a separate brand from Greenridge Group?

Greenridge invests as a principal. Delta represents clients. Keeping Delta as its own brand with its own team makes it clear that when Delta represents a seller or a buyer, its job is that client's outcome.

What does Delta Brokers charge?

A flat 10% sell-side success fee on total consideration, paid only at closing, with a $10,000 minimum per completed transaction, and the same 10% on the buy side. No upfront retainer and no monthly work fee. Full terms are on the fees page and in every engagement letter.
